PokeKoi is a fan-made game created by a single person, on a non-commercial basis. PokeKoi is not affiliated with, nor endorsed by, Nintendo, Game Freak, The Pokémon Company, Twitch, Discord, or Google. All Pokémon-related elements used belong to their respective owners.
When you sign in to PokeKoi via Twitch, Discord, or Google, we only receive the unique identifier of your account on that platform (a technical number, never your email address or your password). This identifier is used solely to recognize your account the next time you log in.
We also store the username associated with your PokeKoi account, as well as your progress in the game (Pokémon caught, currency, items, statistics).
We never ask for, and never store, your email address, whether through Twitch, Discord, or Google.
If you use the game's social features, we also keep: your friends list and friend requests, the players you have blocked, your private messages, your trades with friends, your guild membership and your guild chat messages, the guild invitations you send or receive, your public chat messages, and the reports you make or that concern you.
Like any web server, PokeKoi's server records the IP address and browser type of each request in its technical logs, which are kept for 14 days and then deleted automatically.
In addition, when you attempt to catch a Pokémon, your IP address and browser are recorded in a log kept for 7 days at most. It is used only to detect cheating and bot usage. This information is neither shared with third parties nor visible to other players.
Your private messages are only visible to you and the person you are talking to. Moderators do not read them unless a message is reported: in that case, they can view the reported message and, if needed to judge the situation, the conversation around it.
You choose who can write to you (friends only or everyone) and you can block a player. Guild invitations arrive in a special conversation called "System"; they can reach you even if your messages are limited to friends, and you can simply accept or decline them.

We do not sell or share your data with third-party companies, for advertising purposes or otherwise. No data is transmitted outside PokeKoi's own infrastructure.
PokeKoi is self-hosted on a private server (VPS) rented by the game's creator from OVHcloud. No third-party hosting provider or external analytics service has access to your game data.
Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. You can request the deletion of your account and all associated data directly from within the game, via the account deletion feature.
Public chat messages are automatically deleted after 7 days. When you delete a private conversation from your list, it disappears on your side only: the other player keeps it, and a reported message remains viewable by moderation.
When your account is deleted, your profile, your progress, your friends, your blocks, your private conversations, your public chat messages, your place in a guild and the reports linked to your account are erased. Some technical histories (for example trades or guild donations) may remain without being linked to an active account.
A backup of the database is made every day and kept for 14 days so the game can be restored after a failure: a deleted account therefore also disappears from backups after 14 days.
